City Forest (Salim Ali) National Park

City Forest (Salim Ali) National Park is located in Srinagar district of the Indian union territory, Jammu Kashmir. The park is named after the famous ornithologist Dr Salim Ali. The park is famous for its avian fauna.  In this Park, visitors can sight a variety of birds.

Notified area of the National Park is 9.07 sq km.
The Park is notified in the year 1987.
Best time to visit the National Park is from April to October.

Flora

The vegetation of the National Park is coniferous alpine type. Major plant species are Cedrus deodara, Quercus spp., Pinus spp. and Brachypodium spp. etc.
